"Wonderwall" de Oasis ha sido votada como la canción más importante de los últimos 20 años, en una encuesta realizada en Australia.
Más de 940.000 votos fueron emitidos en la encuesta realizada por la radio australiana Triple J. “Wonderwall” fue seguida por "Seven Nation Army" de The White Stripes en segundo lugar y "Last Goodbye" de Jeff Buckley en la tercera ubicación.
Daft Punk, The Killers y Silverchair hacen tres apariciones cada uno en el listado de 100 temas.
'Wonderwall' fue el tercer single del álbum de Oasis "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?”. Lanzado en octubre de 1995, alcanzó el número dos en la lista de singles del Reino Unido, pero alcanzó el número uno en Australia, Nueva Zelanda y España.
Mientras tanto, el ex vocalista de Oasis, Liam Gallagher, ha revelado recientemente que está interesado en la reforma de la banda para conmemorar el 20º aniversario del álbum debut del grupo, “Definitely Maybe”.
